At present, modern classics are the best solution for arranging a bedroom. For modern classics, the following features are characteristic.
- Minimalism.
Unlike the classical style, there is no splendor and elegance here. ; - The presence of artificial materials that combine with natural ones.
- Bright spacious rooms;
In modern classics, a very important role is given to lighting. Due to the large windows in the rooms there is more natural light than artificial light. - Simple furniture with flowing lines turning into straight lines.
- Harmony and calm.
Due to its simplicity and spaciousness, a person in a room experiences peace.
In modern classics there are no unnecessary details. Each thing is needed in its own way. In this style, it is permissible to use simple and modest stucco moldings as a room decoration.
The primary colors used are the same colors as in the classical style: beige, light brown, milky white. Any accent colors are suitable.
If the bedroom opens onto a balcony, partitions can be demolished. Thanks to this technique, the room will become more spacious and comfortable. The bedroom will become more interesting due to the unusual shape of the room. Due to the lack of partitions, more light will enter the room. In addition, the balcony can easily be turned into a recreation area or work area. But you will have to get permission for redevelopment from the housing inspection. The balcony from the bedroom can be fenced off using curtains. And if you do not want to demolish the partitions, then you can still equip a balcony to your liking.
If you do not have a balcony, then for sure there is a window, and maybe two. To make the room look aristocratic, you need to hang a large number of fabrics on the window: curtains, tulle, lambrequin. If you have two small windows in your room, you can visualize that it is one large window by simply attaching one large curtain over two windows at once.
Also, if your window has a low window sill that can stand you, it would be a good idea to throw decorative pillows on it, and put a bookcase next to it to read before bedtime.
If you have one window, then surely an insufficient amount of light enters the room. Such rooms are best decorated in bright colors and with a sufficient number of artificial lighting fixtures. And if there are two windows, then you can use dark colors in the decor without fear and doubt. One chandelier will be sufficient for lighting, but only if the windows are located on the sunny side.
The chandelier in the room decor plays one of the most important roles. “Out of the light, color is born.” If the room has an insufficient number of lighting fixtures, then you will not see the beauty of the classical style, since for it the most important thing is good lighting.
The classic chandelier should be made of natural materials: brass, wood, bronze. The best chandelier in the classical style is a large luxurious one with innumerable carved details and possibly even crystal.
Important! If you have a small room or low ceilings, then the chandelier should not be too bulky.
Do not forget about additional light sources, such as table lamps. They must be combined with a chandelier, have common design features. But if this lighting is not enough, then you can use sconces and floor lamps.

- Bulky.
The standard curtains in the classical style are two thick curtains, a thin transparent tulle and a solemn lambrequin that adorns the window. In the afternoon, the curtains are tied with a special holder. Other combinations of window curtains are possible: a combination of different types of curtains, tulle.
Important! At low ceilings, it is not advisable to use a pelmet, since it will visually reduce the height of the room.
When choosing curtains, you need to build on the overall design of the room, its color palette. Curtains must be suitable for at least one piece of furniture. But do not overdo it and buy everything in the same color. Colors should be combined. Otherwise, it will turn out that the curtains merge with the whole room and become invisible.
